Silicon Metal Transactions Remain Average with Stable Prices [SMM Silicon Daily Review]

SMM March 3 News: Silicon metal prices in east China remained largely stable. Standard #553 silicon was priced at 10,500-10,700 yuan/mt, above-standard #553 silicon at 10,600-10,700 yuan/mt, and #421 silicon at 11,300-11,600 yuan/mt. Today, silicon metal plants reported that new orders remained moderate, and most manufacturers kept their quotations largely stable. Due to the continued low level of silicon prices, a small number of halted silicon metal plants have suspended quotations. Overall, quotations in north China remained lower than those in south China. Currently, quotations for standard silicon from south China are generally higher, even exceeding those for above-standard silicon from north China.
